An older post may still contain useful explanations while its product information or structure needs attention. Updating it can answer a current question without starting from a blank page.
Smart Agent Blog’s paid AI rewrite feature proposes changes to an existing title, body and SEO description. Begin with approval mode so you can review the changes before applying them.
Decide what needs improving
“Rewrite everything because it is old” can remove useful detail. Choose a purpose such as replacing outdated product information, filling a missing answer or simplifying a difficult section.
| Situation | First area to consider |
|---|---|
| Search impressions but few clicks | Match between title and question |
| Readers stop partway through | Opening, structure and missing detail |
| Outdated information | Product specifications and guidance |
| Little product activity | Relationship between the explanation and destination |
Save a separate copy first if you need the original. Applying a rewrite updates the Shopify article; do not assume this workflow provides an automatic backup.
Configure the purpose and scope
Open AI rewrite settings and enable the schedule. Choose relevant strategies: CTR, engagement, freshness or conversion improvement. The CTR strategy requires Google Search Console integration.
Check the target blog, publication mode, day, time, timezone and processing limit. Strategy conditions determine eligible articles, so inspect the scope even when you intend a small trial. Limits depend on the plan.
Start in approval mode
Select approval mode and save the settings. An immediate run also uses saved settings, so verify the target and mode before starting it.
Open a pending proposal from settings, the home screen or the notification email. Read the edit summary, then inspect the title, body and SEO description.
Check facts even when the prose sounds better
In a fictional bag article, changing “lightweight” to “comfortable all day” broadens the claim. Readability and factual accuracy need separate checks. Verify materials, dimensions, prices, experiences and link destinations. Approve only changes you want to adopt.
If someone edited the original after the proposal was created, inspect the conflict before overwriting. Later manual work can be lost when the proposed body is applied.
Verify the storefront and follow up
After applying selected changes, check the body, images and product links on the actual storefront. Record the date and purpose, then review analytics with its reporting period in mind. Start with one improvement strategy and establish a reliable review routine before increasing the workload.
