How to schedule Shopify blog posts to publish and unpublish on time

Schedule campaign posts to go live and come offline

You may want a campaign article to appear at a particular time without opening the editor at that moment. Smart Agent Blog supports scheduled publication and unpublication.

The article’s visibility schedule is separate from product pricing and campaign settings. Plan and check both parts of the launch.

Decide the immediate state as well as the schedule

For an unfinished launch, you may want the article hidden after saving and visible when the campaign starts. The following is a fictional schedule pattern. Check the time basis shown in your interface and choose future dates.

MomentArticle state
Immediately after savingUnpublished
Campaign startsPublished
Campaign endsUnpublished

You can set only publication or only unpublication. If the article will remain useful after the offer ends, decide whether to update and keep it rather than automatically hide it.

Finish the content and destinations first

Verify products, prices, eligibility and end dates. Scheduling the blog does not automatically synchronize discounts or inventory. Align the article with the campaign configuration in Shopify.

Save it unpublished, then preview it in the intended theme and inspect the text, images and product links. An unsaved article does not yet offer the preview action.

Configure the reservation

  1. Choose the scheduling option in the article’s publication controls.
  2. Set the current status that should apply immediately after saving.
  3. Enter publication and/or unpublication dates and times.
  4. Check the order and save.

For an initially unpublished post, publication comes before later unpublication. For an initially published post, a scheduled unpublication comes before a later republication. Configure only the transitions your campaign needs.

Save changes and cancellations too

Remove a scheduled time with its adjacent cancel control and save. To stop scheduling and change the state immediately, choose published or unpublished and save. Confirm the result in the article list and on the storefront where relevant.

Check after the scheduled time

Verify that the article is available after launch and in the intended state after the campaign ends. If you unpublish it, inspect menus and other articles that still point to it. Scheduling helps with timing, but confirming the actual result remains part of the publication workflow.
